Marvel Studios has a 100% confirmed schedule set in place through 2015. This May Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will kick start with Iron Man 3; Thor: The Dark World will arrive in November; Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be in theaters April of next year; Guardians of the Galaxy will be blasting off in August 2014; The Avengers 2 will reassemble the heroes in May the following year; and Ant-Man will be introduced that November. So what’s to become of the Justice League? Marvel seems to have there path smoothed out while the DC cinematic universe seems to be rough an rocky even with the release of Man of Steel. Not much has been said about what do we know about The Justice League movie?
Christian Bale will NOT be batman in it
With the success of Man of Steel, an upcoming Justice League movie is inevitable. Some fans were upset to hear that Bale may return, because it would interfere with the ending of The Dark Knight Rises. Others can’t picture anyone else as the Caped Crusader and were hoping he may reprise the role. Now we have an answer, straight from Christian Bale’s mouth — he will not be Batman in Justice League. Here’s what he had to say in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly:
We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three [Batman films]. That’s enough. Let’s not get greedy. Chris [Nolan] always said he wanted to make it one film at a time. And we ended up sitting there looking at each other, saying ‘We’re about to make the third.’ We never really knew if we were going to get to be there, but if that was how it was going to be, this was where it should end as well.
Bale goes on to explain that he’s never even been involved in official talks about Justice League:
I have no information, no knowledge about anything. I’ve literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that’s it.
Lastly, Bale says happy to pass his cape and cowl onto a new actor:
It’s a torch that should be handed from one actor to another. So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with.
Man of Steel will pave the road for the justice league
With all the Easter eggs that were in man of steel it is inevitable for Warner Bros. to be making a Justice League movie sometime in the future. Man of Steel writer David Goyer will be writing the sequel, Man of Steel 2, says he’s also likely to pen a new script for Justice League. Deadline mentioned Goyer’s deal for Man of Steel 2 included the superhero team-up film, and at the Man of Steel premiere in New York he reportedly confirmed he is indeed writing Justice League.
